Privacy Policy

Shotday (“the App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a personal GLP-1 medication tracker built around a single privacy commitment: your health data stays on your device. We do not run a server. We do not collect, store, or transmit your information. This page exists to comply with App Store requirements and to explain — in plain language — what that means for you.
1. The short version
- We do not collect personal information.
- We do not have an account system. There is nothing to sign up for.
- We do not sell, share, or transmit your data anywhere.
- Everything you log — injections, side effects, foods, doses, refill data — lives only in your phone’s local storage.
- If you delete the app, that data is gone with it.
2. What data we handle
The App lets you record:
- Drug name and dose
- Body weight (used only to compute a daily protein target)
- Injection date, time, and body site
- Side-effect intensity ratings and free-text notes
- Food / protein intake entries
- Refill setup (doses per pen, last-filled date)
- Reminder time preferences
All of this is written to local on-device storage (iOS: Keychain-isolated app sandbox via AsyncStorage). It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (export feature is not available in this version).
3. What we do NOT do
- No analytics SDKs. No Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Segment, or similar.
- No advertising SDKs. No Meta, Google Ads, AppLovin, or similar.
- No crash-reporting SDKs that send data off-device.
- No tracking across other apps or websites. We do not call Apple’s App Tracking Transparency API because we have no need.
- No accounts, no email, no phone numbers, no demographics.
4. Local notifications
The App schedules local notifications on your device for shot-day reminders, post-shot side-effect
prompts, and refill nudges. These are scheduled through Apple’s
UNUserNotificationCenter and never leave your device. We do not use push
notifications and we do not have a server to send them from.
5. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Shotday Pro is an optional subscription processed exclusively through Apple’s App Store. We
use RevenueCat as a thin wrapper around Apple’s StoreKit to verify the
entitlement on your Apple ID. RevenueCat receives an anonymous installation ID (no name, no email,
no health data) so that subscriptions can be restored on the same Apple ID across devices. See

Apple processes your payment. We never see your credit-card details, billing address, or Apple ID password.
6. Children
Shotday is intended for adults managing their own GLP-1 prescription. The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
7. Permissions we ask for
- Notifications. Required to deliver the weekly shot-day reminder, the post-shot side-effect prompt, and refill alerts. You can deny this permission and the App still works — the cards on the home screen continue to remind you, you just won’t get push-style alerts.
The App does not request: contacts, photos, location, microphone, camera, HealthKit, calendar, or motion data.
8. Your rights
Because we do not store or transmit your data, there is nothing for us to delete or hand over on request. To delete every record Shotday has about you: open the App, go to Settings → Reset all data, or simply delete the App from your device.
9. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how the App handles data — for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud-sync feature — we will update this page and bump the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will also be flagged inside the App before they take effect.
10. Health disclaimer
Shotday is a tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your prescribing physician before starting, stopping, or changing your dose. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
